The most profound paradoxical concept for anxiety management is to accept adrenaline. Adrenaline is power. Learn to make it your friend.

Adrenaline reared it’s ugly head just this morning… I needed to talk with a teacher about a student’s behavior. I was good until I reached his door. Then my breathing became irratic, my heart was in my throat, and my words were jumbled. I had to take a second to put things into perspective, take a deep breath, and calm my self. The fear although a bit ridiculous is fear nonetheless.
It may be “rediculous”, but if you wanted to resolve it you would learn to identify your perceived threat and how you learned such to associate negative emotions to your “physiology of performance”. I believethe book “Work Makes Me Nervous” could help you alot.
I most certainly do want to resolve it unless I wouldn’t be on this site. Just at a lost as to HOW to change things around; things that have been a certain way since childhood all the way into adulthood. So thanks for the recommendation of the book, I will certainly check it out.
